Why do people step on the gas instead of the brakes?
This happens all too often. Mostly older people mistake the gas pedal for the break pedal. I am 63 years young and driving since I was 13. I could never in my wildest imagination, confuse a vertical gas pedal with a horizontal break pedal. Are there any studies researching such as this?
it happens wayyyy too much here in Florida... it's what I call the idiot factor... I saw a fellow employee do it once in a limo and he said " did you see that?" as if the car lurched forward by itself.. I told him , next time hit the correct pedal, and you could tell that he was embarrassed... I have no idea why people do this either...
